Nordic Walking

You may have noticed the growing group of Nordic walkers around town. Once considered a European sport, Nordic walking is quickly becoming a favorite American pastime. It’s a terrific, low impact exercise for all ages. Nordic walking strengthens and tones your upper body. The upper and lower muscle group combination also increases aerobic benefits over traditional walking by up to 45%. And unlike walking with hand weights, the consistent body movements using the adjustable poles improves posture while minimizing the risk of injury.
